Apprenticeships in Housing
An apprenticeship in housing offers opportunities to increase the skills of both existing and new housing staff. We deliver apprenticeships in housing at Levels 2, 3 and 4. They have been designed by the sector for the sector. They are specialist programmes for a specialist sector, delivered by specialist staff and linked to sector specific professional membership.
There is a project/case study which forms part of the apprenticeship which can be tailored to your specific business needs. This is likely to be far more beneficial than a generic apprenticeship.
We also offer the Operations/Departmental Manager Level 5 apprenticeship standard as well as apprenticeships in Business and Administration.
Find us on the Register of Apprenticeship training providers
To be eligible to deliver training for apprenticeships organisations must be listed on the Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers (RoATP). We are on the register under the name of our parent organisation; Cornwall College. Our UK provider reference number (UKPRN) is 10001696.
Levy
From April 2017, all employers with a pay bill over £3m will be required to pay the apprenticeship levy. Once you have declared the levy to HMRC you will be able to access funding for apprenticeships through the Digital Apprenticeship Service. Non-levy payers will only need to contribute 10% of the apprenticeship training costs. Special incentives apply for 16-18 year olds and organisations employing fewer than 50 staff.
The New Standards
The new apprentice standards are concisely written, easy to understand documents that describe the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to undertake a specific occupation well and to operate confidently within a sector. We can also package in the relevant Chartered Institute of Housing Certificate in Housing Practice qualification, at the appropriate level, if required.
